EMS training

EMS training

Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) technology is widely used in Europe and all around the world. Physiotherapists have been using EMS for decades in muscle rehabilitation.

XBody simply took this proven technology to the next level. Imagine a revolutionary bodysuit that applies the power of EMS across all of your major muscle groups simultaneously while you train. XBody amplifies your own efforts. The result is a better, more balanced workout that accomplishes in minutes what would normally take hours at the gym. XBody works your core like never before, tones and strengthens all of your muscle groups at the same time!

Athletic therapy

Athletic therapy

Certified Athletic Therapists are best known for their quick-thinking on-field emergency care of professional and elite athletes. The first to respond when someone gets hurt, they are experts at injury assessment and rehabilitation. It’s that same mix of on-site care and active rehabilitation skills that makes Athletic Therapists so effective in treating the musculoskeletal (muscles, bones, and joints) injuries of all Canadians, whether on the field or in the clinic.

Athletic therapists adhere to the Sports Medicine Model of care. They treat a wide range of patients, from kids with concussions to seniors recovering from hip replacement surgery, using various manual therapies, modalities, exercise prescription and even bracing and taping. The treatment varies but the objective doesn’t: an Athletic Therapist’s goal is to help clients return to their usual activities, whether that means playing competitive sports or walking to the mailbox and back.

Karl Falardeau

Karl Falardeau

Athletic therapist

During his studies at Concordia University, Karl did more than 1.200 hours of training with sports teams such as the Concordia Stingers and the UQAM Citadins, both in private clinics and in the field. He specializes in injuries related to sports such as hockey, ultimate frisbee, basketball, soccer and crossfit. It all starts with the management of the initial injury in the field followed by its evaluation in the clinic. The treatment then continues in the gym for recovery and prevention of future injuries. Karl uses a variety of muscular relaxation and mobilization techniques in addition to the rehabilitation exercises. Having treated a wide variety of injuries, he adapts his treatments and exercises to tailor each one of your goals, whatever finish line you have in sight!
